Mrs. Ocker has been teaching theatre in high school and middle school for 27 years. After recieving her BFA with an emphasis in acting and directing, from SFASU, she started teaching high school at Columbia High in Brazoria County from 1990 - 96. In those years, she won at every level of competition at UILOAP from Zone to Region, receiving alternate to state in 1995, then after getting married and moving to Houston, she taught theatre and speech at Thornton middle school in Cy Fair ISD for 9 years before moving on to Cypress Creek High school for 8 years. She made 2 state UIL appearances in 2008 and 2011 . In 2014, Ms. Ocker went back to middle school in Humble ISD for 2 years at Timberwood middle school before joining Spring ISD at Dueitt middle school for the 2016 - 17 school year. She has been a certified UIL adjudicator, judging zones, districts, and bi - district contest for the last two years. She has also been a professional actress for over 10 years working primarily at Texas Repertory Theatre in Northwest Houston. Marilyn has been married to her husband Sean for 23 years, and they have three children. Conor, a 19 year recent graduate of Klein School, Kieran 15, a Sophomore at Klein and Quinn 14, a freshman also at Klein HS. Marilyn loves to travel and has taken students on trips to London, New York, Italy, Ireland, Wales, Switzerland, Germany, and other amazing journeys. Marilyn is very excited to be working with high school students once again, looks forward to helping reach their full potential creating realistic characters, stretching their scope of talent, and ultimately making audiences think.

Technical Director - Franklin "Trey" Otis
Mr. Otis, who hails from Huntsville, TX, has worked for over thirty years in both academic and professional theatre. His Broadway credits include the Tony Award winning revival of Cabaret starring Alan Cumming, Dark Rapture starring Marisa Tomei, and Below the Belt starring Judd Hirsch. He has also worked on a number of New York Fashion Week's Seventh on Six runway shows for the likes of Victoria's Secret, Todd Oldham, and Bob Mackie. In 2006, Mr. Otis Interned under Sir Peter Hall with shows opening at the Theatre Royal in Bath, the Globe Theatre at Stratford-upon-Avon, and London's West End. Most recently you may have seen his work at the Texas Repertory Theatre in Spring, TX during his tenure there from 2010 until 2016. His academic credits includes classes taught at Texas State University and the University of Houston, as well as San Augustine High School in East Texas and the Leysin American School in Leysin, Switzerland.
